White Corgi whose paws turn pink

I have a 10-year-old Corgi who has been in pretty good health his whole life. But sometimes some of the white fur on his front paws turns a pinkish hue and he begins to lick them quite a bit. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? We live in Wisconsin - might the cold weather have something to do with it?

Thanks!

8 y/o Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever with thyroid and allergy problems

I have a female Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She is about 8 years old. I am told she is typical of the Goldens in that her Thyroid Gland seems to be non existent. She has very bad seasonal allergies.

I've had two blood tests done for her. We have her on 4 different pills that are just barely effective.

Thank You

8 y/o eight year old beagle with unexplained problems. Help!:

Our eight year old beagle mix started drinking excessive water and urinating inside and outside. A urine sample from our vet showed sugar, cut blood test was negative for diabetes. A songoram showed nothing. She's eating well and is still active. We give her Hill's k/d canned food, but our vet had no other suggestions. Is there nothing else we can do?

Thank You

12 y/o Cairn Terrier with allergies

I have a cairn terrier - male- about 12 years old. He is frisky and in pretty good overall health except on occasion he gets terrible skin allergies and his whole body feels hot. When this happens I notice that his breath also gets really bad. I changed his food to an all natural vegetarian diet about 9 months ago and everything cleared up. He was happy and his coat looked better than it ever has and his breath was not bad. I thought I had solved the problem but then out of nowhere it happened again. I just wish I knew the source of this problem. Any suggestions? I don't like to give him cortisone shots and prefer natural ways of dealing with problems if possible. I would really like to know how to prevent this in the future. He gets 1/2 can of food in the morning and 1 cup of dry food at night. No table food but he does get a little piece of cheese each morning to take a thyroid pill. AT night he gets a small natural treat at bedtime. He always acts hungry.

Thank You

13 y/o Chow/Golden with seizures

My 13 year old female Chow/Golden mix has begun to have seizures the past few days. She's been given valium but still has them at night while sleeping. I'd taken her in for blood in her urine last week and they gave her cipro and two days later she started seizing. Her urine has cleared, and I don't want to give her any other drugs if possible. Any other suggestions?

Male Bichon Frise gastric problems, want to wean off meds

History: I have a male bichon frise that has had gastric problems most of his adult life. He takes Metoclopram and Tylan 30 minutes before eating. He had the problem of throwing up some sort of yellow frothy stuff. It took a long time to get him regulated and now that he is regulated it will be for the rest of his life that he has to take this medicine. I always had trouble with this dog eating his Iams. I think he had a slight allergy to it. I have recently changed to the Senior Nutro dry food. It has Glucosamine and Chrondroitin in it. It appears to have helped his appetite. He actually eats it and likes it. My question: Will he really have to take that medicine the rest of his life? I was hoping that since I have had such good luck with this food that maybe he can do without his medicine now?

Thank You
